Full Description:
Clinton to (unknown). James Island. Despatches from England full of demonstrations of joy at the news of Count D'Estaing's defeat before the lines of Savannah. The park and tower guns were fired which having but rarely happened previously is strongly expressive of the importance of that event and the great satisfaction it gave.
