Full Description:
Tonyn to Clinton. St Augustine. Embarrassment in Indian affairs through the death of Mr [John] Stuart. A commissary necessarily appointed to manage for the Creeks who resorted to this place in large numbers. Upon Mr Shaw's removal to Savannah, Lieutenant-Colonel Moore was fixed in that office and confirmed by Colonel Brown. Considerable expenses ensued and Mr Brown representing his funds too narrow to liquidate these, apprehends His Excellency will give directions that Colonel Moore be reimbursed.
