Germain to Clinton. Whitehall. Number 62. Lord Amherst has informed Germain that there are about twenty privates belonging to the 16th Regiment of Dragoons being held prisoners with the rebels, and as that Regiment is now in England it becomes inconvenient to continue them of it. It is therefore His Majesty's pleasure that you should turn them over to the 17th Regiment of Dragoons.
