Full Description:
William Murray, Refugee. Memorial. Discusses his loyalty and persecution. He has two sons in Colonel Fanning's [Loyalist] corps. Has a wife and five small children and has lost the use of one of his arms. Asks for rations. Certified by Captain Chapman, and Quartermaster Thomas of the King's American Regiment. Letter accompanied by another certificate dated Jamaica, Long Island, 8 May 1780. This is signed by Major james Grant and Captain Robert Gray of the same regiment.
