Full Description:
Clinton to Lieutenant-Colonel Alured Clarke, 17th Regiment. Headquarters, Charlestown Neck. The appointment of Clarke to replace Prevost who is resigning to go to Europe on his private affairs. Gives detail and instuctions to take command in Georgia, notifying that the troops have been directed to obey their new commandant, and that Prevost has been ordered to give up the paperwork and information necessary to his successor.
