Clinton. South Carolina. Proclamation. 'Declaring that if any person should thereafter appears in arms, in order to prevent the establishment of His Majesty's Government in this country, or shall under any pretence or authority whatever attempt or compel any other persons to do so, or who shall hinder or intimidate or attempt to hinder or intimidate faithful loyal subjects from joining the forces or otherwise performing those duties their allegiance requires, such person or persons so offending shall be treated with that severity so hardened and criminal an abstinancey will deserve, and his or their states will be immediately seized, in order to be confiscated'.
