Full Description:
Wright to Clinton. Savannah, Georgia. Refers to previous applications relative to establishing a corps of horse for the protection of the province. Received Mr Graham's letter of 29 April acquainting him about making an application to Prevost with regard to the number of horse that should be deemed necessary for that service. Prevost had directed by the Crown to prepare officers and men to be in readiness to mount two troops whenever proper appointment should arrive. Graham had no objection to employing parties of militia as temporary service. Made payments of over £35 from his own pocket, asks directions thereon. Desires protection of a 'ship of war'.
