Full Description:
Alexander Cameron, Pensacola to Clinton. Submits a long and detailed account of matters in his area. In particular dealings with and conduct of their Indian allies, not always successful and always expensive. Calling for a congress, the Indians seem divided, with the Chickasaws remaining firm in their loyalty and the Choctaws on the verge of a civil war. Split into those who supported the English and those who favoured the Spanish., these 'are the most mercenary of Indians'.
