Full Description:
Cornwallis to Lieutenant Colonel Cruger, commanding at 'Ninety Six'. Camden. Discusses how on morning of the 16 August he attacked and defeated General Gates's army. Has written to Lieutenant Turnbull who is with Major Ferguson on the Little River and is pushing onto the Washaw after General Sempter, whose detachment is at present the only collected force of the rebels in all this country. Notifying that punishment is being given to those soldiers and inhabitants who sided with the rebels.
