Full Description:
Campbell to Clinton. Penobscot. Letter from the Duke of Argyle informing him of the resignation of Campbell, and suggesting that the company might be sold to for Campbell's use. Recommends the succession. Has taken liberty to enclose the names of officers. Explains that he hopes he is not overlooked when it comes to promotions. (similar letter, see item no 2974)
