Full Description:
Clinton to Robinson. New York. Transmits for the information of the Lords of the Treasury, lists of necessaries sent out at prime cost by the government in 1777, 1778 and 1779 which were for the use of the troops. It specifies what has been issued and what remains. Sends an account of the stoppages made from the several regiments to reimburse the government for the necessaries sent out in 1777. No stoppage can be made for those sent out in 1778 and 1779 until the prices of the articles are known.
