Full Description:
McLean to Clinton. Halifax. Receipt of previous letters. Battalion and flank companies shall be put on a level, Provincial corps will remain on the same footing. Has issued bat, baggage and forage money to the troops and staff. Account will be sent to the Quartermaster General by his deputy here. Discusses Spry's accounts, scarcity of money, and discount on bills. Transmits list of warrants, and requests blank warrants for holding general courts martial. The last letters from Haldimand; where everything is quiet, reports the arrival of the Knyphausen Regiment, and eighty recruits sent to Newfoundland. Requires clothing and camp equipage for four companies of his regiment.
