Full Description:
Lieutenant-Colonel John Bayard to McLean. Halifax. Having exerted every effort to recruit the battalion of King's Orange Rangers, and in part succeeded, finds himself embarrassed in private affairs by the expenses accrued from these last recruits. Solicits leave to go to New York to deal with private matters. Also requests leave for Lieutenant Dawson who will be able to assist in recruiting in the province.
