Full Description:
Patterson to McLean. Halifax. Discusses matters with regard to the garrison at St John's. The state of habitations and payment, and how mutinies and desertions are frequent. Proposes to write to 'the General' on the plan he proposed to McLean for defending of the island. Requests cash to be sent, and will order barracks to be built for lodging the men.
