Full Description:
Clinton. Proclamation. Authorizing previously appointed officers of the proclamation of 17 July 1777 issued by Howe to superintend the imports and exports at New York, to perform the same duties required. Also those officers at Charles Town likewise. All masters of trading vessels, merchants, traders and others are strictly commanded to pay due obedience to the Superintendants and their officers, or answer the contrary at their peril.
