Full Description:
McLean to Clinton. Halifax. Reports that everything is quiet, the empty transports have been sent to New York, and begs some may be sent early next year to bring coals and such. Received from Garland £26,000 designed for Quebec, Mr Thompson appointed Deputy Paymaster, and recommends Lieutenant Dunlop to succeed Captain Campbell who is now a prisoner with the rebels. Requests that other officers who have been prisoners since 1779 be exchanged, and Major Craig was sent to New York to settle the recruiting and subsistence account of the 82nd Companies there, after which he is to go to England.
