Spry to Clinton. Halifax. Transmits duplicates of letters. Assuring His Excellency that he will be able to remove every objection to his accounts when they come to be proved before the Court. Before his arrest had entreated him to to put his objections in writing, but events have occured and he is now deprived of taking leave to go to England or even headquarters to personally explain the accounts in person. Therefore he is under the necessity of signifying his intention of remaining in America another year, and at the same time begs that His Excellency will accept his sincere thanks for the indulgence granted to him.
