Full Description:
Germain to Clinton. Whitehall. Number 72. Acknowledges receipt of previous dispatches. Discusses the victory gained by Cornwallis [at Camden] over the whole Southern rebel army, the consequences of the French reinforcements being late, and the avoidance of Congress in exchanging Convention Troops for the Garrison of Charlestown. Getting rid of the prisoners, the promotion of Captain Ross and other officers, and Brevet of Lieutenant-Colonel is to go to Major Moncrief.
