Full Description:
Spry to McLean. Halifax. In answer to his objections he reminds him that he had already signed and approved the account to the 30 September 1778, to the close of Massey's command and that by reason of delays there was £400 expended as interest. Cannot admit that any survey long after the services were performed could be a sufficient cause for reprobating his accounts as many of the works had gone to decay. Complains of a delay in examining the acounts and his having recourse to the civil law. Discusses further objections, will endeavour to remove an further if they are stated to him.
