Full Description:
Lord Amherst to Lieutenant Robert MacFarlane, 74th Regiment of Foot at Messrs Gray and Olgivie's. Acknowledging his letter of the '16th' and laid application for leave of absence before the King. Sends a copy of a doctor's certificate to General Sir Henry Clinton. Advises a quick return to duty or he would lose out on any possible promotion while absent.
