Full Description:
Sylvanus Waterbury. A letter from New York as a certificate from Colonel Bev [Beverley]. Robinson stating that this person had been in the British lines since the fall of 1777, and had been a Commissary for the rebels at Fort Montgomery. He had also been a friend and provided essential services in the reduction of that place and for some time after, was allowed rations for him and his wife and employed by the Barrack Master. His ration was stopped and suffered ill-health but hoped to be allowed one again; followed by a note by Thomas Murray, Aide-de-Camp, granting the request.
