Full Description:
Germain to Clinton. A letter from Whitehall acknowledging receipt of numerous dispatches and comment on a couple of revolts that weren't dealt with as expected. Comments on possible operations up the Chesapeake when weather permits. Annxious to hear about Cornwallis and General Leslie and their progress. Confirmation seen regarding General [Benedict] Arnold's operation up the James River allowing the militia to return home. Board of Directors of Refugees commissioned and shipping provided to supply provisions for first year. List of Officers for exchange curtailed and the idea to enlist prisoners for service to West Indies to be implemented. Convoy held up at Plymouth due to weather.
