Full Description:
Cornwallis to Germain. A letter from Guilford relaying an account of the action of 15 March, with orders from Clinton. Plans for a Winter Campaign into North Carolina after leaving South Carolina secured from enemy action. The unfortunate and unexpected action of 17 January [at Cowpens] resulted in a loss of about 600 men did not change the prosecution of the original plan. An account of the following various actions were relayed, and other actions to be relayed in further letters.
