Full Description:
Cornwallis to Germain. A letter from Guilford stating that troops under his command gained a victory on the '15th' over rebel troops commanded by General Greene. An account of the actions was detailed in the despatch including the estimation of enemy dead to be around 2-300 left on the field of action. This part of the country was totally destitute of subsistence and forage for about nine miles and the worst of the wounded were left behind at the Garden Quaker Meeting House with proper assistance while the rest, with the army, moved out, with new supplies on the way, and proper care to be given to those in need.
