Full Description:
Benjamin Lewis to Governor James Robertson. A letter of memorial requesting relief after the family had been driven out of their home of Courtlands Manor by rebels. Certification of the said person given by Jacob Frost and Tertullus Dickinson, New York, 11 April; a second given by Peter Corn, a fellow prisoner, and a third from Peter Huggerford, Jonathan Fowler and Caleb Frost. Followed by a note from Thomas Murray, aide-de-camp, 15 April, ordering provisions for Lewis and his family.
