Full Description:
George Farrel, refugee, to Brigadier-General Samuel Birch. A letter of memorial requesting relief for himself and his family. Had two sons serving and was accompanied by cerfication by John Morris, commanding 2nd Battalion of New Jersey Volunteers, stating that Farrel junior served in it, also a memorandum from Thomas Murray, aide-de-camp, 2 April, 'Referred to Colonel Morris for one ration'.
