Full Description:
Germain to Clinton. Whitehall. Number 87. Informs that it gave His Majesty much satisfaction that Clinton had fully adopted the plan suggested to him of pushing the war to the southward with all the force that could be spared from the defence of New York, and the purpose of giving the inhabitants of the peninsula between the Chesapeake and the Delaware an opportunity of proving their sincerity and professions. Further discusses the movements of officers and regiments, request for more officers, and promotions.
