[Clinton] to [Cornwallis]. Fragments of letters, found to be of a letter of this date, [As described in the HMSS Calendar, Vol II]. Mentions spare arms in Chesapeak and Charlestown, and frequent accurate 'Returns of the State of the Troops'. Brigadier-General Gould, Lord Rawdon's health obliging him to return to Europe, and giving arms to Lieutenant Haggarty and Mr Alexander.
