Full Description:
Cornwallis to Clinton. Cobham [Virginia]. Received dispatches, troops are ready and will proceed to Portsmouth to wait for transport, and Cornwallis will give immediated orders about the 'artillery, stores, &c. Discussion' includes further the transport of troops and officers, and questions the utility of a defensive post in this country which he sees as not having the smallest influence on the war in Carolina. March from Williamsburg to the island of Jamestown, and information on the approach and attack of the enemy.
