Full Description:
Germain to the Treasury. Whitehall. Document of 5 parts. Copy of a letter to direct that horse furniture and accoutrements for 1,000 men be provided and sent out according to Mr Thompson's patterns. Also suits of Light Dragoon clothing. 14 May, extract of a letter from Innes to Thompson representing the distress for want of Cavalry appointments. 10 July, minutes of the Treasury Board on the subject to have the Adjutant General consider samples. 24 August, Copy of Fawcett's letter approving samples and with a detailed list of articles to be provided for the use of the Provincial forces. 29 August, Treasury Minutes directing Mr Thompson to provide and send out the same.
