Full Description:
Lieutenant-Colonel Nisbet Balfour to Sir James Wright. Charlestown. Understands that the boundaries of British possessions are nearly determined and that Lord Rawdon has found it necessary to quit the back country. Has written to Clarke to make his arrangements for Georgia. Sees covering a country by post impossible, the King's stores cannot supply the militia and regrets to say the revolt is universal. 24 August, acknowledges dispatch of 16 August. Has detained the boat three days in hope of Leslie's arrival. Things much at a standstill.
