Full Description:
Wright to Balfour. Savannah, Georgia. Discussion regarding keeping the back country militia from quitting Ebenezer, the loss and ruin of a valuable province, and the hopes of a sufficient force being sent to their relief. Begs leave to say that the re-establishment of a post at Augusta he believes to be a matter of consequence. Augusta is key to the province, seat of government, place of supplies, and the 7,800 inhabitants will be lost to the king. 500 troops may be enough to save the province. Requests Balfour to communicate his message to the commander-in-chief for a clear and positive answer.
