Full Description:
J Pafford to Birch. New York. Memorial. That his wife and family, with two 'negroes' were seduced on board a rebel galley at Charlestown and on following them to Philadelphia, were thrown into prison as spies. Being exchanged, begs rations for his family till he can get a passage to Charlestown. Also claims one of his 'negroes' is now in New York. Referred to Governor Robertson. Rations ordered in August.
