Full Description:
Philip Dumaresq to Clinton. Bowery Lane. Memorial Went with the army from Boston to Halifax and again to this place [i.e. New York]. Has endeavoured with his own means to support his family but is no longer able to do so and begs rations or other assistance. Followed by a note from Thomas Murray, dated 28 August to Colonel Morris, that General Robertson desires rations to be issued in consequence.
