Full Description:
[Clinton] to Haldimand. New York. Informing that General Riedesel has sailed for Canada with a considerable number of officers and men. The French and rebels only wait for a reinforcement from the West Indies to make an attack upon this post, which he thinks they will certainly attempt and is hourly expected. The enemy's force is about 4,000 French and 7,000 rebels.
