Full Description:
Memorial of the Delegates of New York to Congress. Unanimously resolved by Congress that it be most earnestly recommended to the State of New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New York forthwith to pass laws to refer to the decision of Congress all differences and disputes relative to jurisdiction over the district called the New Hampshire Grants [i.e. Vermont], which they respectively had with the people of that district, so that Congress might proceed thereon on the 1 February then next, and Congress did thereby pledge their faith to carry into execution and support their determination and decision in the premises.
