Full Description:
Germain to Clinton. Whitehall. Seperate. The friends of Captain Anthony Foster of the 16th Regiment, who Germain understands is arrived at New York a prisoner of war to the Spaniards under the capitulation of Pensacola, have represented to him that by the death of his elder brother, he is become entitled to a considerable estate in Ireland. This renders his presence there particularly necessary at this time, and as he cannot serve until exchanged, hopes there will be no objection to granting him the leave of absence necessary to settle his affairs, which will greatly serve him and very much oblige his relations.
