Full Description:
Clinton to Germain. New York. Number 141. Acknowledges previous letters. Detailed discussion which includes his conduct and plan of operations, the French army and fleet, and the preservation of present possessions. The requisition of 10,000 men necessary to counterbalance the French force, the enclosed copies of letters to Cornwallis and Admiral Graves with regard to his intentions, and the expedition to New London.
