Full Description:
Lieutenant Alexander Leslie, Charlestown, to Clinton. Reports on the military situation in his area. Upon the arrival of Craig's detachment from Wilmington (with all the Loyalists who wished to accompany them). Reports from Stuart's Corps that [the American, Nathanael] Greene had moved across the Santee River. The army not being above 3,500 men, intends to send a force to Savannah (fearing that General Greene would attack it). Enquires if the 'debris' of Cornwallis's army may be drafted into the regiments 'here'.
