Full Description:
W Baffour to Clinton. Charlestown [Charleston]. Encloses a copy of a letter lost on a sloop of war some time ago. Regrets to hear that His Excellency [Sir William Clinton] thinks that little attention has been paid to keeping up frequent intercourse with New York from this place. Discusses difficulties with sailing and transport, mentioning the fact that he has not been able to procure convoys for provisions and stores to the provinces who depend upon them. Many vessels have been taken within sight of the town.
