Full Description:
Leslie to Clinton. Charlestown. Number 2. Refers to a duplicate of a letter sent and which is enclosed. Discusses in detail the situation with regard to skirmishes with the enemy. Finding intelligence difficult to get hold of, sees the whole country in arms and that Georgia will be their object. From the returns sent, Clinton will be able to see the numbers of men and where they are as mentioned. Hoping that some old Corps will be sent, encloses a number of memorials, promotions and appointments made. The formation of Guards, the rearrangement of Corps, and the weakness and desertion of troops.
