Full Description:
Germain to Clinton. Whitehall. Number 95. Information received from France that Monsieur De Grasse had sailed the beginning of last month from Chesapeake for the West Indies. Also that Washington may have made a considerable detachment from De Grasse's army to reinforce General Greene in South Carolina. Until the proceedings of the enemy are known though, it is impossible to know what measures are to be pursued so dispatches are looked forward to.
