Full Description:
Bernardo De Galvez to Clinton. Havana. Discusses correspondence sent between Galvez, Clinton and Campbell, Natchez belonging to West Florida, and the Pensacola capitulation. Having so manifestly broken the capitualtion, Galvez is sufficiently authorized to make reprisals and not allow the whole garrison to proceed. Therefore he has detained only Campbell and Dean. Postscript, since writing this letter, Mr James Campbell has sent him to forward to New York, not the correspondence with his General but that with Galvez. Has told him if he does not send the former the latter shall not go. Sends enclosed the last paragraph of a letter written by 'Mr C' to Major General Espeleta.
