Full Description:
Leslie to Germain. Informs of the almost total revolt of the province. Discusses subjects such as the loyalty of the inhabitants, the actions of Brigadier General Stuart and Major Craig, and the need of reinforcements if the army is to act offensively. How that without cavalry he does not see them being successful in America, and the superiority of the enemies horses renders it impossible to procure any certain intelligence. Has detached 200 men and some artillery to Georgia, reports the arrival of the English Fleet, and (the earlier arrival of) that from Cork which was bound for New York.
