Full Description:
Board of General Officers. Minutes of a meeting. Discussion on letters from General Leslie, Governor Wright and Lieutenant-Colonel Clarke. Resolved that Leslie can spare for Savannah, 500 men but the officers judge it right that about 1,000 men should be held in readiness to embark from New York in case his next dispatch should contain such information as may make it necessary to send them to him. Board consisted of Clinton, Robertson, Paterson, Knyphausen, O'Hara and Dalrymple. Alexander Digby assisting, and Peter Russel as secretary.
