Full Description:
Cinton to Robinson. New York. Observations on Major Drummond and his comparative view, and on the Board of General Officers. Is at a loss to know to what contracts the Major alludes in his letter of 17 December. As to the army train, the management is still in the same department and is still hired at the same rates as when he himself first took command of the army, but refers him to the enclosed letter. Major Drummond's remarks on the present situation are 'rather foreign to the object of his commission'. Will send the remaining papers laid befored the board.
