Full Description:
Clinton to Germain. New York. Number 154. Discussion with regard to gunpowder, which was supposed to have been sent to Halifax but did not arrive. Clinton explains that there is not above the amount which is needed for the next month in the store and requests that Germain represents the situation to the Board of Ordnance, and that an early supply may be sent. On intelligence from the rebel country, it appears that ten ships of the line and 10,000 troops will arrive from France to Rhode Island or Boston. Also on the recommending of Captain Sage of the Royal Artillery.
