Full Description:
Thomas Irving to Captain Nisbett. Charlestown. A letter he encloses for General Leslie is respecting the Board of Police. He has altered the beginning so that it reads simply as a letter. The Lieutenant Governor and some other gentlemen desire that it should be sent to the Commander-in-Chief by the 'Savage' as there is not time to make out a joint representation as to the state of the Board, in consequence of the paragraph of Clinton's letter. They will take into consideration that paragraph and transmit an answer to Leslie.
