Full Description:
Drummond to Crosbie. New York. Before he passes the accounts laid before him, thinks it necessary to be informed whether the barrack regulations have met with the Commander-in-Chief's approbation. Also that all the vessels have been kept up by the orders of His Excellency. Drummond's calculations founded upon the investigation into the accounts of expenditure do not exactly correspond with what Crosbie had been pleased to assert in his letter of 7 January last, as it appears that there are discrepencies including vessel hire and the cost of wood, and the fact that it excludes cart hire and the pay of workman, overseers and assistants.
