[Clinton] to Germain. Seperate. The Lieutenant Governor and other Civil Officers of Government belonging to the Province of South Carolina have applied for payment of their respective salaries and to make heavy complaints of the distress they are exposed to from the increased prices of all necessaries of life. Transmitting copies of letters from Bull, Irvine and himself to Luke and gives opinion. The police of Charlestown have extended their jurisdiction beyond the prescribed limits, and military establishment taking cognizance or enforcing th payment of debts contracted prior to the rebellion.
